Length of base of an isosceles triangle

An isosceles triangle is a triangle in which the two sides are equal in length. Equal sides are called lateral, and the last unequal side is called the base of the triangle. By definition, every regular triangle is also isosceles. An isosceles triangle has the following properties:

• the base bisector is the median and height
• the median to the base is the bisector and the height
• the height drawn to the base is the bisector and the median
