# Regular polygon area

To find the area of a regular hexagon or any regular polygon, we use a formula that says area = half the product of apotema and perimeter. As shown below, this means that we have to find the perimeter (the distance around the entire hexagon) and the measure of the apotema using right-angled triangles and trigonometry.
